John Thackara is an internationally recognized design expert, author, and event producer. He founded and leads Doors of Perception, a design organization specializing in sustainability and social innovation. Previously he was Director of the Netherlands Design Institute and Director of Research at London's Royal College of Art. He is the author many books including In The Bubble: Designing In A Complex World (02005), and Lost in Space: A Traveller’s Tale (01995), and most recently How To Thrive In The Next Economy: Designing Tomorrow's World Today (02017).
